Gary Meredith, President and owner originally established Metro Mailing Service, Inc. in March of 1987. The company started with 5 employees in a 4,000 square foot leased building. The business grew and a 15,000 square foot facility was purchased in 1989. The staff grew to over 40 employees. Metro Mailing Service provided complete mailing services for all classes and types of mailings.

In May of 1991, Tony Falcone joined Mr. Meredith as the Plant Manager to assist in managing Metro’s growth and development. A printing division was established in 1993. In two short years the Print division grew to include three Didde Web presses that provide up to 6 color U.V. capabilities. In 1996 a 42,500 square foot facility was purchased. The new capabilities of a fulfillment department, high speed Xerox imaging equipment and literature storage were then added.

Expansion of the business has always been driven by customer needs, diversity of services along with needed solutions that required special machinery and additional production space. To accommodate these challenges a state of the art, custom 115,000 square foot building was built and became operational in April of 2000. Investment in equipment included digital pre-press utilizing computer to plate (CTP) technology, an envelope press and bindery equipment. By the end of 2001 an 8 color U.V. full color press was installed. Color VDP, 1 to 1 marketing is the new growth area for businesses. Short run variable digital color, highly personalized with astronomical responses is now available for 2006. Before the end of the third quarter of 2006, a 10 color U.V. full color press with coating capabilities will be operational.

We have positioned ourselves to accommodate many new business ventures for years to come. A well thought out plan with on and off site monitoring provided by digital closed circuit cameras, an integrated card lock system and secure production areas gives our clients the comfort level they need.
